A pioneer of west coast rock in the ’60s alongside Steven Stills in Buffalo Springfield, Neil Young later joined Crosby, Stills & Nash to give them a unique edge as a quartet with his distinctive voice, before embarking on a solo career. “Harvest” was his fourth studio album, with the London Symphone Orchestra featured on two tracks, and with guest performances by David Crosby, Graham Nash, Linda Ronstadt, Stephen Stills, and James Taylor. It was best-selling album of 1972 in the USA, notably featuring the US No. 1 and UK No. 10 hit “Heart Of Gold” – “Old Man” was also a US Top 40 hit.
