Description

Following on from John Travolta’s role in “Saturday Night Fever”, his casting with Olivia Newton-John in the movie version of the stage musical “Grease” was a big screen event, and it was hugely successful. With Barry Gibbs’ title song performed by Frankie Valli, and John Farrer’s new compositions “You’re The One That I Want” and “Hopelessly Devoted To You” supplementing the fine songs from the show like “Summer Nights” and “Greased Lightnin'”, and with rock ‘n’ roll oldies by Sha-Na-Na, the soundtrack is a feast of pop that readily recaptures the atmosphere of the film.
