“Hotel California” was the Eagles fifth studio album, recorded and released in 1976, and the first album to feature guitarist Joe Walsh. The title track became what is now very much their signature song, encapsulating the spirit of much of their songwriting, and the album spawned three notable singles, with “Hotel California” and “New Kid In Town” both topping the US charts and making the UK Top 20, with “Life In The Fast Lane” also charting. Featuring other fine songs like “The Last Resort”, this is very much an Eagles album that everyone should own.
